How can I disable ( or hide ) the "An update is available" in the Web console?

How can I disable ( or hide ) the “An update is available” in the Web console? I’m running Plex in Docker using the linuxserver/plex container. Plex won’t be updated until that image is updated , and I choose to pull a new image down, so these notifications are annoying and useless.

I see threads going back to 2013 asking for the ability to remove this notification, but the answer is always “it can’t be done.”

Almost 7 years since the request for this feature started, I think it’s time to get the feature, or come up with a work around to remove the notification for Plex admins who choose to do so.

Has anyone come up with a work around , be it greasemonkey script, database modification, or other change that will squelch this nagging ( to me ) notification once and for all?

Server Version#: Version 1.18.3.2156

The docker container and Plex version are independent of each other.

I run the same docker and specify a version so right now it shows I can upgrade and I can specify that new version in the docker if I want to upgrade.

Exactly. I’ll upgrade when I want to. And when I click “skip this version” in the Plex interface, it doesn’t remember my selection and bugs me again the next time I log in.

I never want to be notified of new versions. Never.
