unRAID - displaying notification for update despite of being up-to-date

Hello

I’m running the Plex Media Server on my unraid machine. Works fine so far.
Now I’ve been given a notification to update PMS while on the docker page it says up-to-date.

Versions:
Server Version#: 1.14.1.5488
Player Version#: 3.91.0

Is the official Plex Inc docker not being updated anymore or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks in advance

The docker container is different than the PMS version you run.

I use LSio container and I can specify the PMS version I want to run. I believe the same is true for the official Plex container.

Hi, I have the same issue with the official Plex Docker! The version is set to plexpass and is supposed to update when you restart the container but its not working?
Cheers,
Tim

Sorted my issue! The template to install Plex docker on Unraid isn’t working correctly, it asks you for the version and doesn’t apply it! It just pulls latest, but to get the latest version of the server you need the public or plexpass tag! So I manually tagged it to public in the repository field and it pulled latest version!
Cheers,
Tim

Can you tell us how you “tagged” it?

Edit your Plex template, for the official Plex docker you add public to the repository name like this, plexinc/pms-docker:public

Then to update Plex within the docker you just restart the docker!

I’ve changed the docker to the official docker of limetech (unraid dev’s) and that does get updated.

I’m having the same problem here to will not update … does anyone know why? or how to force it to update

Have you changed the tag as I described a few posts up?
