I am just wondering if anybody knows how to fix this issue Every time I am notified about a media server update on my underage server in order to receive the update. I how to uninstall and reinstall Plex the docker always says it is up to date. No matter what. So it does not give you the option to update but when I opened the server, I get the notification I just don’t want to have to uninstall and reinstall every single time
If you are using the linuxserver/plex image then you can use a environment variable called VERSION
To choose witch version you want to run.
If you use public then you will get the latest stable version. If you use latest it will give you the latest version you can get. Then every time you restart or start your Plex docker, it will check if you are up to date.
Thank you. I will look into that. I think I was only nudging for but I am running the official version right now. It used to tell me there was an update but now it does not do it anymore unless I open the web interface, but I appreciate the solution. I just wish the official repository would update
