How can I fix the following... The repository 'https://downloads.plex.tv/repo/deb ./public Release'

I have done everything I know to do and still get the following:

The repository https://downloads.plex.tv/repo/deb ./public Release does not have a Release file.

P.S. I am using kubuntu 18.04

The published codename and branch public main
This is also provided in the /etc/apt/sources.list.d/plexmediaserver.list file for apt

Nevermind…

@ChuckPA
Forgive any noobieness, I had a update flag on my PlexServer, so I figured this was as good a time as any to jump on an automatic repository, public release. Everything with UHD, 5.1 center channel, etc etc all seems to have gotten ironed out and Plex has been mostly flying along great for me!

Followed this guide to add repository to my Ubuntu 18.04LTS installation:
https://support.plex.tv/articles/235974187-enable-repository-updating-for-supported-linux-server-distributions/

Got some errors… followed this forum post to remove the “./public main” portion of command is moving to just “public main” and made that modification.

Still got this error/warning…:

Reading state information... Done
1 package can be upgraded. Run 'apt list --upgradable' to see it.
W: Conflicting distribution: https://downloads.plex.tv/repo/deb public InRelease (expected public but got )

But that’s ok, it still sees an upgrade! and it upgraded me from build 5003 to only build 5023… what?

https://www.plex.tv/downloads/ shows that it should upgrade me to build 5063… !?

The “public” repository contains the “public” releases  You won’t see private Plexpass betas in the repository.

haaaaaa I know that… but I’m dumb. Unticked the show plexpass download toggle switch on https://www.plex.tv/downloads/ and now see that build 5023 is the latest  perfect kudos

now repo have 1.14.1.5488
but lastest from site 1.15.2.793
with no pass download

Use the search feature on the forums here and you can answer the question yourself.

There will be no PlexPass downloads in the public repo. (management decision)
