I am able to do all the normal editing and matching of albums on my plex server. I want to give another user the ability to do that as well and can’t find any way to configure or give them rights to do that. They are on my system and can play the music already.
You cannot do that.
So my wife and I need to have separate Plex servers? I had setup separate directories but that will not be as clean and then I have to buy flexpass licenses for both??
With proper preparation of the files, you won’t be needing that much manual intervention in the ‘matching’ process
You could set up a periodic library update and just give her access to her file storage. Shw could just put her files in there and wait for the automatic library update.
But only you can decide if that is a viable path.
If you really want to have separate accounts and all, you will need a second server and Plex Pass, yes.
Otto many thanks. Your second sentence is exactly what I am trying to do. She is loading hundreds of her cds and Plex is not always recognizing them correctly. I have her ripping them to a directory she had full control over. Plex however won’t let her edit or unmatch them etc (via Plex).
