Hello everyone!
I have a problem I don’t know how to fix, I thought I would be a simple task but it turns out to be more complicated.
Long story short. The PC I was using my Plex Media Server is dead.
I got a second hand PC good enough to just run Plex, So from my dead PC I savaged the 8TB Hard Drive where all my media is and plugged it into the computer. Installed the newest version of Plex Media Server, and when it came to downloading all the metadata from all my movies and shows, I thought it would be faster to just copy and paste the “Plex Media Server” folder located at %appdata%\Local\Plex Media Server\ (it’s like 5GB worth of data).
When it finishes copying the folder and I open the app I get a message saying:
“Plex Media Server was unable to open its media database”
Just to be clear, the Hard Drive where I have all my files still has the same Drive Letter assigned just like it was in the other computer.
So I don’t know what else to try or what step I’m missing. Honestly I don’t want to go over all the collections and covers and stuff.
I would appreciate some help over here…
