How do I add music to the library?

I can’t for the life of me figure out why the music library is empty, when there is plenty of music on the computer on which the Plex server is installed. I have not been able to find any articles on it either.
I’ve tried dragging and dropping the individual music files, but that doesn’t work. I don’t know what else I can do.
Strangely, it finds the photos on the server and automatically adds them to the photo library, but can’t seem to find all the music and add it to the music library. You would think this is something that Plex would be able to do.

In desperation, I signed up for a Plex Pass, thinking maybe the music feature is only for paying Plex users, but that didn’t work either. Plex doesn’t offer support, so posting my question on this forum seems to be the only way.

Sorry, but Plex seems to be fairly useless if I can’t use it to play my music on the TV.

Thanks for any help.

Music requires you to have a strict organization of your music files into folders and sub-folders of
Music > Artist > Album > Tracks

Then you create a library (type: ‘Music’) and point it to the ‘Music’ folder on your disc. https://support.plex.tv/articles/200288926-creating-libraries/

Thank you.
