When i open my plex up on my Projector, it shows the thumbnails for the movie, but instead of the title being under the thumbnail, it is displayed over the top of it. Makes it very difficult to read the name of the movie. This issue is not being displayed on my TV though.
The only time I’ve heard of an issue like this is when the device is using a dpi setting other than the default for the device. Did you possibly change this on your projector?
I’m not sure if I did or not. Not sure exactly how to do that. I looked at all of the settings on the projector and could not find what you mentioned. Any ideas what to check?
It’s not an easy thing to change, so if you don’t remember doing it, you probably didn’t and you have a different issue.
Not sure what to suggest as I’ve never seen what you describe.
Maybe the projector doesn’t actually have a real Plex client in it.
You could be using the generic DLNA part of Plex with that device.
But doesn’t change the oputcome either. There is nothing you can do to customize the projector’s inbuilt DLNA-compatible player.
The only way would be to connect a different player device (with official Plex support) to the projector’s HDMI port.
I am using a fire stick with Plex on it. That is actually what I use throughout my house. Every TV has it. I do have that one plugged into my receiver and not directly into the projector. That gives me the surround sound option. I could try it directly to see. Thanks for the advice.
