I have a NetGear ReadyNAS Ultra 4 running Plex. So I’m guessing the 3rd party forum?
The first real problem I’m running into is I ripped “The Day After Tomorrow” and it’s showing up as “Operation Endgame.” I have no idea why. I figured if I clear the fields and only put in the title, it may find it but with no luck.
I just started working on this and only have a few titles in so far. I have it split into HD Movies and SD Movies. Blu-Ray ripping takes Forever, so I decided to do a few more DVD’s for the time being. I figured out if you don’t encode the black bars on the top and bottom you can get much better quality and save some space at the same time. Anyway, I’m getting there as far as the collection goes. It will take a while though.
I’ve got Plex working and I even tested sharing my library with a friend to make sure it streams. I’m just having some problems with the Media Manager.
I wasn’t able to refresh at first, but then I stopped the server and started it again and it’s working fine.
The main problem is just that one movie so far isn’t showing up as the correct title. Any advice on that?
Also, I’m curious where I should really be posting. I’m guessing here if it’s just a media manager problem, and the 3rd party if it’s specific to Plex on the NAS?
Generally questions re PMS running on NAS's end up in the Linux server forum as most NAS's are running Linux and so the PMS version installed on them is the Linux version just packaged up for the specific NAS.
Questions re whatever clients you are using would end up in the relevant client forums.
The movie names are derived from the actual file name used for the media. There is a naming guide here to show the best way to name your files.
