How do I "clean bundles" in Plex for Mac?

I have a movie that’s named correctly but that Plex is not recognizing. I keep hearing in the forums about the “Plex Dance”, which involves cleaning the bundles. I found where it does that automatically once a week, but I don’t see any place where you can force it to manually do that.

Help, please!

In the web manager from the home page, when you mouse over the Libraries section a + and ... appears next to Libraries. In the ... menu is the option to clean bundles.

Ah, awesome! Thanks!

Not sure if I can jump in here. Has Plex removed bundles? When I click on the “…” I don’t see anything about bundles (2018).

still there as described by jmckee 2 years ago.
hover over the Libraries item and click the ... that’ll appear next to it. it’s part of the “Server Actions”:

Thanks. I see that I was looking in TV Shows and not at the top in libraries. Still having trouble with one particular show, but I’m going to see if the “Plex Dance” doesn’t fix it. Thank you for your quick response.

And now I can’t find the instructions for the plex dance. This is not my day.

  1. Move the problematic files outside the folders linked with the library
  2. Scan the library
  3. Clear bundles
  4. Empty trash
  5. Move the files back in place
  6. Scan the library

I recommend to take a moment between steps 1 and 5 to double-check the file naming and in case of tv shows also the folder structures of the problematic files.

jsut FYI the dance and other tips can be found in Tips/Tricks section https://forums.plex.tv/categories/how-to

Reviving this old topic now that there’s a new Web interface… Where did Optimize Database & Clean Bundles go now that we’re in Plex Web Version 4.6.4?

Thanks!

They can be found under Settings -> Troubleshooting.
