I’m new to Plex and I would like to add movies and tv shows from a friend who gave me access to his collection. How do I do this?
You can’t.
Sorry, Plex isn’t designed to let you arbitrarily download shared content from friends. If a friend shares a library with you, you can stream from them, but downloading is not available.
