i recently subscribed to plex, after seeing the movies my friends had through plex. after subscribing i realized that getting those movies is not as easy as i thought. I cant seem to figure out how to download movies, so if anyone knows please let me know thanks!
I sadly suspect you have the wrong idea about Plex here?
You need to put your own media on your Plex Server

You rip them from your collection of DVDs and blu-rays.

Ask your friend to share his collection with you and you will have access to his library of movies.
