I have access to a Plex server of a friend. I can play his movies but I can’t find a way to download files from his server. He has enabled “Allow downloads” in the restrictions section of the library access preferences.
Is there a way to download files from a friends server or to transfer a file to my own plex server?
Downloads are only available in the mobile and (regular) desktop clients as a means to watch content on that device while you’re offline. Plex doesn’t offer an option to share files between servers.
