How do I define which interface Plex uses in a system with multiple NICs

You can pick the preferred network interface in the advanced network settings using Plex Web:

  • Open your server’s Plex Web (e.g. https://app.plex.tv/desktop)
  • go to Settings
  • go to "server" > Network
  • make sure Advanced Settings are visible
  • select the right NIC from Preferred network interface
