I originally installed a Plex media server on my windows pc. I then decided to buy and Nvidia Shield and set it up as my Plex Media Server. I am trying to install the Unofficial App Store onto my server but it automatically goes to the media server created on the Windows PC. I want it to show up on the Nvidia Shield. How do I delete the Media Server on my PC so that I only have one Media Server so that I can load the Unofficial App Store onto it. Or is there a way via the PC to load the Unofficial App Store to the Media Server that I want it to go to. Otherwise please tell me how to delete my original PC Media Server that I know longer need. Thanks in advance.
You can have several servers in one plex account.
You deinstall Plex server from Windows like any other software, by going to the ‘Apps’ control panel.
The server on the nVidia Shield doesn’t support Plugins, and therefore no WebTools either.
Thanks for your help - I did as you instructed and the server still shows up. As a matter of fact the server on the Shield is actually showing offline but I can still access the old server. I am going to ask how to get it to show back up in another post. If you have any advice on how to get my server back online I would appreciate it.
There is also Settings > Devices > Server
Make sure to only delete the old server there.
Otherwise you’ll have to re-attach the server into your plex.tv account.
