Sure, I have the agents set up correctly and they work perfectly 95% of the time, but sometimes you just want to go in and edit an actor, is there no way to do that?
I know this thread is over a year old now, but editing big-name actors is not the only reason to expose editing this metadata through the GUI or an API. Many users have been looking for this “feature” so that they can add their family member’s names to their home movies. While I don’t have many home movies in my library, I do have a few, and having the ability to add my family members as actors would definitely be nice.
I’m just trying to clarify, since many people only assume this is for fixing data in known movies.

This is EXACTLY what I want, PLEASE Plex do something about this

When I want to edit an actor I usually use an AK-47 but sometimes I prefer a butcher knife or even a razor edged machete because those require you to get closer to the actor you wish to edit and that makes the act more intimate and more fun.
I don’t think Plex should get in the way of my fun.
I recently ripped some original versions of movies that have had remakes. All the information came in for the wrong version with all the wrong meta data. I can correct everything except the cast list. This is just plain stupid. Why hasn’t this been fixed.? This should be a no brainer. Either remove it or make it editable. Simple as that!
Almost three years later and we still can’t do this? Sigh.
