so i noticed that the 3 dots no longer works… it hit and miss on movies that havent been matched… but no matched movie does the 3 dots work individually… just if i click the round button and then top bar has the 3 dots… but i trying to do duplicates and unable to fix the 3 dots… i tried cleaning bundles optimizing database nothing seems to fix it… how can i fix the 3 dots so they work again?

so on the Left column i selected the 3 dots and did scan… and then i clicked on the duplicated video i have the 3 dots on poster still wont give the drop down menu so i cant get “Get Info” for it so you can seperate duplicates etc…
or did i do it wrong?
and some TV shows you can click the 3 dots… others you cant click the 3 dots… does that mean my database it corrupt or something
You need to distinguish between movies, collections, TV shows, TV show season, and TV show episodes.
Only TV show episodes and movies have the Plex media info link on them.
If you added more than one episode of a tv show within a short time, the icon on the home page is not that of a single tv show episode. It will rather be either for a whole season or a whole show. Thus it will not show you the Plex media info, which is always for a single item.
If you told your server to automatically create collections of your movies, you might also sometimes see an icon that points to a collection and not to a movie.
You can tell these from regular movies because they show the number of items they have inside. (e.g. “2 Movies”)
In either case, you want to click on the icon first, to go inside the collection or season and see the individual videos. Which will then have the Plex media info available on them.
ok i took a screen shot of 30 rock when you normally click the 3 dots you get options well in the paste all tv shows and movies you could click the 3 dots to get options
now tv shows you cant… clicking the 3 dots does notrhing so you can no longer individually refresh meta tags you cant fix matchs you cant do any of that… cuz like i mentioned 3 dots doesnt work anymore its disabled its hit and miss on the tv shows
so far what i can tell how to work around the 3 dots… is you gotta go inside a movie and tv shows and then the next 3 dots that are horizontal u can splits apart but you can see that always worked the 3 dots on the main poster doesnt work anymore when did that get changed?
cuz it always worked in the past… so i figured maybe do a happy dance to fix the 3 dot problem
as you can see the horizontial 3 dots works inside but its supposed to work on the main poster and it doesnt
I have checked my Library TV Series and the Vertical Ellipsis works as intended. What OS do you run PMS?

thats why i was saying if happy dance might fix it if its corrupted that causes it? a database optimize and clean bundles didnt fix that …
as for the server… it runs as a docker under unraid
Look again at the screenshot.
It says “8 seasons” below of the title. Which means that this is a poster of the whole tv show. As I explained above, only episodes and movies have the Info link.
@OttoKerner i lost yes i see… and you see the 3 Dots working where you can can refresh and Fix Match an Anaylize
but you see the other tv shows beside it… 3 dots no longer work they used to work
the 3 dots always worked in the past… so you can force a Anaylize or a Fix match
but it doesnt work anymore… if i scroll along my tv shows or movies… the 3 dots work on this one and not this one… where they all worked before
To be clear, you want to Fix Match, @OttoKerner why is info important? The Ellipsis does not work at all I understand
i dont mean fix match… well you see Duplicates for movie… you used to be able to click 3 Dots and be able to split them
that doesnt anymore…
you gotta click Each Movie… and click Split apart… if sometimes 2 different movies get matched to 1 name…
you cant also Refresh Meta Data on a Poster by clicking the 3 dots te only way to do that… click the circle to highlight it then at the top do the 3 dots horizontal… or click in a movie then Fresh Meta…
i just saying 10 movies 3 now only work by 3 Dots on the poster the rest no longer show option
i just wonder if happy dance would fix it? as it takes on my slow internet a day or so to re populate
Try a different web browser or the Incognito mode. See if it makes a difference.
If it does, disable browser add-ons and re-try.
For a start it’s the Plex Dance, I would Try removing a test Title from your storage directory to somewhere safe. Empty Trash, Optimize Database, clean bundles. Re add your Title, scan.
so Safari chrome IE same the dots wont populate
i dont have any browswer add ones
and not sure how you enable incognito mode

In Safari and Firefox, it’s called Private Window I believe.
Try optimizing the database. It might make a difference.

so i did 1 tv show that wasnt working with the 3 dots moved it out… did the Plex dance…
cleaned bundles empty trash did it a couple times… and then moved the 1 tv show back in tested with tv show first and didnt help 3 dots still disabled… ill re do the Plex dance again… and ill do a Reboot of the Unraid Server before i move the tv show back in just for a test.
and i did do this Empty Trash, Optimize Database, clean bundles.
and that didnt help…
