How do i force Plex to work when internet is Offline

hi my internet is flaky i live out in the country… and i get frustrated… cuz i cant load plex… is there anyway to force plex to always load or save the online database whatever you guys use online to the local side so it loads local side and not go online

cuz all i get is this… until i get internet… there should be a way to Force things that whatever it needs online to read locally first

it does that automatically, don’t g o to http://plex.tv though if you have no internet, you need to go to the local server address.

Uh, what error DO you get when you go to http://IP-OF-SERVER:32400/web ? It should at least load up a plex interface, before telling you that you are unable to authenticate and thus unable to view the server contents. If you get a generic browser error “no page found” then you are not entering the correct IP of your server.

@Divideby0 i get the error that i showed in the original post… i went to my ip address and thats what i got as an error when no internet connection

what i did do that seemed to fix it for now was

when internet works and plex it working under settings network
List of IP addresses and networks that are allowed without auth

i entered
192.168.0.0/255.255.255.0

and so far that seems to work when the internet is down so far that has solved that error i posted the screen shot of the when your goto the ip address and it trys to goto the plex.tv website

That’s exactly what the How-To I linked to above suggests.

@beckfield ya thats how i fixed it lol i appreciate the link

cuz its frustrating when you cant load it when you dont have perfect internet like most people do
