How do I get airplay to work?

Hey guys,
first of all, I’m pretty new with Plex, but I’ve already fallen in love with it.

As I am a OSX user I’d like to use airplay/airtunes via Rasplex, but it doesn’t work out for me. The airplay screen mirroring service won’t work at all (I can’t chose a device).
In iTunes i can find Rasplex, but every time I try to start airtunes, the system crashes and shows the crash reference id 1814.

Do you have any advice on how to try things differently?

Unfortunately AirPlay is still hit and miss, there have been many attempts to correct this, and has been since the release of iOS 7, screen mirroring has never worked on the RPi, some proof of concepts were done by the raspberrypi.org team a couple of years ago but never seemed to progress. I find that only audio will work via AirPlay in Rasplex, and if you have a number of RPi’s you can have multi room audio (music) when launched from iTunes on OSX.
