How do I get native media scroll controls back on Apple TV?

When using the Apple TV remote to move forward or back in a video/movie, it appears Plex player is using some kind of custom control behaviors. Instead of left edge click giving -10 seconds and right edge click +10 seconds, tapping remote edges in Plex Player does non-native fast forward/rewind stuff. Compared to the native behavior, this Plex behavior feels weird, unresponsive, and unpleasant.

How (please, mercy, let it be possible) do I get Plex player to act native when scrolling media. I already have Enhanced Player turned off because I didn’t want any of the weird stuff it wants to do, but even so, Plex has decided to butcher the media play controls.

Also I have a general brilliant idea for Plex Player for Apple TV: go back to the version we had 2-3 years ago, which was a lot more native/normal, had much less hideous orange everywhere, didn’t have the weird left side hidden panel that requires scrolling all the way over to access, and other weird non-native stuff Plex player is doing now.

Generally, to Apple TV app developers who think they can do UI better than Apple (Plex, Hulu, HBO, Youtube-horiffic and many others): you can’t. The stuff you change and customize to be different than what Apple recommends sucks 100% of the time, is non-standard, and no users like it. You do it for your corporate branding and your own narcicistic need to “express your inner design guru”. Cut it out, nobody wants it.

It was better with the early (Gen2) Apple TV’s when Apple didn’t give devs any freedom to screw with the Apple TV standard app behaviors. Now with the “go to town” Apple TV dev tools and freedom we get these crappy, non-standard, corporate branded, gross Apple TV apps we’re forced to put up with.
