When I follow the naming guidelines for TV shows Plex ignores the files.
When I rename the file by removing the S01E01 and replacing with Season 01 Episode 01 Plex sees the files but is unable to find the metadata for the TV show.
can you post your original file names and folder structure?
also… what agent do you use for this tv show library? (I suppose it is configured to be a tv show type library?!)

That sounds as if you are trying to add tv series files into a ‘Movie’ library.
You need to create a separate library for tv shows.
