How do I get rid of all the garbage plex adds

I just want my own media

I don’t see any adds at all.

Where are you seeing adds ?

Assume you have Plex’s own media (TV and Movies) enabled (which are supported as the content is free) or Discover enabled ?

Edit - seems someone needs to RTFM

Go to Settings.
Choose “Online Media Sources.”
Disable the ones you don’t want.

You’re mistakenly playing Plex’s free ad-supported content. The Home screen and other Recommendations can mix it in with your content
For example if you are watching a show from your files, it will offer to continue the show from your files and the free stream. It’s easy to click the wrong one, and bam, you get ads.

Un-pin Plex’s ad-supported sources and they won’t be mixed into your recommendations any more.

lol adds != ads Did not mean advertisements.
But thanks all that worked.

Interesting terminology for content.

Good that you got it sorted by using Plex support material.

It isn’t referring to content. “
garbage Plex adds” refers to things that Plex has added to the product that isn’t the user’s own media.

I think we all got the weird terminology usage and it has been solved.

Content can be media, menu items, GUI, metadata.

As the OP referred to only wanting his ‘own content’, it is clear what he wants in that regard
