Ads being played on my personal content

Plex is playing ads on content from my personal library, anyone else having this issue?? how do i turn it off, I’ve had the lifetime subscription for years now

There are no ads on personal media.
You have played one of the ad-supported steaming content from plex.tv, without noticing it.

i have those movies and shows disabled

You can still accidentally get to them from a cast page with those off. The “known for” row (as opposed to the “in library” row) or in the filmography listings you can open title’s up at Plex TV.

Otherwise … no ads in personal media. If they did that they’d have a whole other licensing issue to deal with and they don’t want that (outside of the privacy\security stuff - but the licensing is a business\profits reason).

Did you use a Roku for playback? There is currently a bug in it which shows this streaming content even if it’s disabled.

yes its a roku tv

Please fix this. If I choose off of “Recommended” I get the streamed version with Ads, but if I browse to my library and choose the same episode then I get “my” content with no ads. I do a lot of effort to get rid of ads, if plex goes back and adds them then I will have to abandon plex.

Disable online media in your account settings.

Thanks.. This of course works. It’s unfortunate that it has to be this way because once in a while there is something worth while on the online-media.

I’ve wondered if the order of pinned sources on the left-hand side determine which source is watched first. Do you happen to have the Plex ad-supported media pinned HIGHER than your own content library?

Do you happen to have the Plex ad-supported media pinned HIGHER than your own content library?

I do not. Plex’s TV-Shows and Movies is at the bottom, all my content is above. I like this idea though as a solution.
