Hi,
maybe I am missing something, but after the "big" announcement regarding playlists I expected...well...playlist support.
Music playlist that is. I am not interested in creating a chain of trailers.
After installing the new server version I can:
- import playlists from iTunes (since I am not a Apple use this is useless to me)
- add albums or songs to a playlist (which his stored who knows where and who knows in which format)
However, I cannot
- use my existiing .m3u or .xspf playlists (which represent a considerable amount of invested time and thus should be usable)
- or import them
- or even have them recognized in any form or fashion
I'd like to have them recognized by my Internet Radio, which does fine when the lists are served up by another server.
I have all my music ready, being served by other media servers.
I would like to consolidate and just use Plex.
Well, it is not working.
I have added my playlists to the music library.
This is silly.
But perhaps I am just blind.
Perhaps I am making a mistake.
I am not sure, as I cannot find documentation anywhere.
Please show me the error of my ways and restore my faith in this otherwise great product which, at some point when a certain maturity has been reached, I will be more than happy to pay for.
Right now I feel downright made fun of by that full mouthed announcement

"So, now onto playlists. We’ve been eager to bring you this feature for ages, as we consider it a key part of any self-respecting media system. But we wanted to make sure we got it right, and laid the groundwork for a perfect playlist experience across all your devices"
Right!
