How do you set up a screen saver where when playing music, the Album cover moves on the screen. I fear for my plasma display…
I guess it doesn’t exist (yet?)…
I think some apps have it, but some don’t.
So Plex doesn’t have it then? How do we get this on Plex’s to-do list, or doesn’t anyone care about plasma TV’s anymore?
This is in the current release of Plex Media Player.
I’ve looked under Setting and haven’t found it yet. Help!

Which “Plex” are you asking about? Plex for Roku? ATV? FireTV? What??
Nvidia Shield TV
The Shield runs the Plex ‘Android TV’ app, not Plex Media Player.
So who has control of the Plex ‘Android TV’ app used on the Shield TV? Plex?
I think the Roku app had this feature, but it was not as slick as the Pandora screen saver, so I disabled it years ago.

Yes.

Yes.
So are you the one to make this suggestion to? I can’t safely play a whole album with the album graphic staying on the screen for up to 50 minutes.
Here is a quote from a developer:
“The app doesn’t ask Android to keep the screen “awake” while playing audio, so the default Android screensaver “should” kick in. We didn’t implement our own screensaver, since the OS does it anyway (or should do).”
So does the Android default screensaver kick in?
If not, is it probably disabled in the general preferences of the Shield?
Ok, apparently I didn’t give it enough time. I timed it and it kicks in at 5 minutes. As Gilda would say, “Never Mind”…
