Christmas movies and the like! It'd be great to create genre playlists too, to share, but specifically Christmas movies (its a narrower field and easier to keep adding to). Easier than say keeping up an Action Playlist, Comedy Playlist, etc.
+1! It would be really useful to share movies and music to other users when there are large collections.

Yes! This would be great for sharing my music playlists. And sharing video playlists would be awesome for recommending content.
I would love to share playlists of vacation videos, etc. with friends and family.

I found playlist or some kind of "collection" may be useful. I have many movies in the collection that some were also nominated for the oscars. If I can share the list to friends, they do not have to find these movies from the entire folder, or I do not have copy them to another location and move them back.
i can understand the tricky part to sharing playlists..
... what happens when you share a playlist - but one of the files you are sharing with a specific friend is not shard globally... the programming end of it is not fun.
with that said...

I don't really see a need to create any kind of playlist for movies... however... playlists for music is obviously a huge thing but also, and i can not believe i have not seen anybody else request it for this, but for tv shows is also a HUGE reason why i fell in love playlists.
I have roughly 50 different sets of sitcoms - all in playlist form... hit play and sit back.
Add me to the sharing playlists addicted. ;)
Also while I'm dreaming why not add a download option on the playlists so that they could be use on mobiles and tablets without the need of an internet connection?

I would like to share a playlist of all of my stand up specials with a friend. I don't want to give him access to all my content, just the playlist.

Sharing playlists instead of sections.
I'm always the one telling friends about new TV Shows, then I would be able to create playlist like "New shows summer 2015"

I would love to share playlists.
This would be extremely useful for a long series of movies where you could press play and watch something like Star Wars in a particular viewing order, or the Marvel movies in a way that makes sense for the MCU.
The programming of this wouldn't be as bad as mentioned because you would share the content that's in that playlist as if the playlist were it's own section of Movies/TV etc.
