How does a DLNA client do about a channel when multiple resolutions exist

Hi, My question is when there are multiple resolutions out there, such sd, 720p or 1080p, how does a DLNA client manage to choose the one of them like the official Plex client do? Thanks

 

ps: Currently I use Windows Media Player and Android DLNA client (not Plex for android) and have no choice for this

You might get more useful feedback by posting in the DLNA Subforum. Channel development is entirely abstracted from client implementation and DLNA is a completely different scenario altogether.
