The question are as follows. I have a server & share movies on my vessel. When sharing movies onboard with wifi does the file go via the sky or internal on the wifi sys ?
If both your server and player are inside your home network, the stream will happen directly between those two.
I’ve seen some reports in the past where users with purposefully or accidentally complex network architectures had issues that Plex considered that connection to be remote. This can result in remote access restrictions to be applied – but the communication should still happen between the devices (given your router should identify both endpoints are under its umbrella).
