I have Plex Media Server installed in Docker on a UGreen NAS used exclusively for music. The server constantly disappears, even when I’m on my home network. I can go into the Plex web UI and see my other server installed on a different machine, but whether I can see the one on the NAS is 50/50, but if I go into the NAS UI it says the container is running fine. When I open the Plexamp app sometimes it just doesn’t load up unless I go into the container and restart it. I have port forwarding on for the NAS and it has a static ip. Am I doing something wrong in the settings? I have been dealing with this for 4 months and it is driving me nuts to the point I’m considering just looking into storing the music on my phone and playing it with an app. Please help.
So your issue is not so much with Plexamp but your server?
What version of PMS is running in that container (Settings > [Server Name] > General)?
How’s the network configuration of the container (e.g. host/bridge/…)?
Are the devices on the same network (e.g. no subnets with restrictions…?
