My Server Dissapeared but can be found by one of the plex home users

Hi Team,

My current plex server has decided to go dark. For the past month or so it shows as offline on the “Authorized Devices” list. I can’t connect to the server locally on port 32400 (port’s open; i get an error that the server dropped the connection). Log in the docker container shows:

[s6-init] making user provided files available at /var/run/s6/etc…exited 0.
[s6-init] ensuring user provided files have correct perms…exited 0.

And that’s wehre it stays. when i log into plex.tv, i can’t see the server as online, i can’t see the libraries, and i can’t do anything server related. For all intents and purposes, my server is dead. HOWEVER:

My son’s teenage account can still access it from wherever; from the AppleTV at home, from his iPAD at his mom’s house, from my phone over 5G or on the local wifi. All i have to do is switch to his account and it’s all fine, all features work. Switch back to my account, back to no servers, no services, no nothing.

I’ve rebuilt the database. DIdn’t help. I’ve updated to the latest docker image. Didn’t help. I’m out of ideas, and need your help to figure this one out.

Any thoughts? Please?

Can you post your server logs ?

I can’t access it through the GUI. I’m looking for it in the CLI inside the container.

Ok. i figured it out. Once i found the logs (easier through the host than through the container) i saw it was a DNS issue. However, i couldn’t figure out how to fix it while in bridge mode. had to move my container to “Host” networking. which worked until about a month ago. really odd - must have been some update in the Docker settings that made it fail and i didn’t realize it.
