How is Music's "play Next" or "add to queue" supposed to work in (Chrome) web browser?

Server Version#: 1.22.0.4163
Player Version#: 4.54.4

How is the Music’s “play next” feature supposed to work in a Chrome web browser? I’ve followed instructions from many forum posts, more google’d posts, and still nothing works. I can open an album, select a track, and play that track, but the next track never plays. Clicking either “play next” or “add to queue” does nothing, not even the selected track will play.

Maybe related: I often watch TV series stored on my server. Successive episodes used to play after an episode finished, but that hasn’t worked for several months. Possibly these issues are related?

System: Windows 10 Pro, Ryzen 3800x 3.9GHz, 64GB RAM, AMD RX590 GPU, Samsung 970 EVO 1TB SSDs

PS I installed the Windows player today, but it won’t launch. so I can’t validate against the browser.

Sounds like something might be off with your setup.
Usually Plex creates an implicit or explicit queue when you start playing media, e.g. when you click play on an album, this will queue all the songs in that album – if you click on a particular song, this will queue all subsequent songs – if you click play on a collection, the other items in that collection will be queued.

Open an incognito browser tab and test it in there.
If that works, disable your browser add-ins.

Playing with browser extensions didn’t do anything, but playing an album in an incognito tab worked. Strangely, when I alt-tabbed back to the regular browser tab and refreshed, that and other albums play just fine now. I will never understand how Google works.

Thx for the assist, this was driving me NUTS, lol.
