How many clients sessions can plex server handle?

I’m currently running Plex Media server on Dell PowerEdge T110 II with:
-Intel XEON E3-1240 3.4 8 Cores
-RAM 16GB

This server mange to run with 51 clients connected in the same time but I found out that the next 52 clients couldn’t access the server. Even on the Dell Server itself also can’t access plex media homepage. It said the server isn’t available plex will try to connect automatically when it’s available. My question is how many client sessions could pelx allow to connect in the same time?
Does anyone know anything about maximum number of clients in plex media server?

With enough resources you theoretically could hit the 100 user limit.

True but can each user connect x amount of times, say 5 simultaneous connections making 500 connected clients?

This page has detailed info about system requirements.

For my experience It got stuck at 52 clients. I adjust the bandwidth to 500mbps already.

Technically, there is no details about what I’m looking for.

Since your running Windows you can bring up the task manager, click on the more details, performance and see where your bottleneck is.

Not knowing what bit rate your media is but let’s say it is all 10Mbit or less. Ignoring system overhead to get to 100 streams you would need Gigabit ethernet (internet if remote) , equal amount of storage throughput and enough CPU. I suspect you don’t have SSD’s for storage so that will probably be the first bottleneck followed by the network. 500Mbps should limit you to 50 connections.

Thanks for your answer. This might be a good point to consider.
