How many devices on a subscription

I’m new to Plex. I’ve installed the Plex-server but when I installed the Plex client on my wife’s iPhone I got the option to either pay a one time fee for the device or to take a monthly Plex Pass subscription.
I use a Windows PC and an Android phone, but my wife have an iPhone and an iBook Air laptop. We also have an Apple TV version 4. Do we have to pay a license fee for every device or are all device clients license fees covered by a subscription if I pay for one?
Are there any limitation in how many different devices we can “connect” to the subscription?

No there is no limit

So if you give someone your username and password they can login to Plex without paying a subscription? then they will have full access to your PMS?

Yes you can do this, but it’s not recommended as most would not want to give full access to all the admin functions of the PMS to all users.

Does this also answer how many ppl you can share with? Basically they create an account on Plex.tv and you send them an invite to your libraries… Is there a limitation on how many ppl i can invite? granted my internet has to be able to handle it.

The limit is 100

Hello,

Quick question on this topic…

I have Plex server running at our house and watching movies on our TCL tv but My wife and I both have iPads. If I purchase one plex pass will allow both devices be able to view our movies?

Or do I need to purchase a pass for both devices?

A Plex Pass is a subscription for your account. Only the account that is the admin of the Plex Media Server needs it. It adds many features. One of which is access to all of our paid mobile apps while the subscription is active, by simply signing into the app with your Plex account. Another is allowing up to 15 people you add to to your Plex Home this benefit at well.

So you can either get a Plex Pass for your account with those features. OR buy the iOS app activations on your and your wifes Apple IDs separately in the app. ( an app activation is not a Plex Pass)
