How should I deal with a title?

https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/dvd-voyage-of-discovery/11064298

I have this documentary movie (TV movie) that is on 3 DVD’s, and each DVD has a few videos on them. This isn’t really a movie, or a TV show. I tried just dumping it in my “Home Videos” folder but it’s showing the individual videos and not the collection of a movie or disc.

If I wanted this title to show as one movie with 3 discs inside of it, and on each disc multiple videos, how would I go about that?

Current directory structure:
\Home Videos
|
— Voyage of Discovery
. . . |
. . . .— DISC 1
. . . . . . .— Video 1
. . . . . . .— Video 2
. . . . . . .— Video 3
— DISC 2
. . . . . . .— Video 1
. . . . . . .— Video 2
. . . . . . .— Video 3
— DISC 3
. . . . . . .— Video 1
. . . . . . .— Video 2
. . . . . . .— Video 3

Put it in a TV Show Library, structured as same. For instance:

A TV Show Library/
....Voyage of Discovery/
.....Season 01/
......Voyage of Discovery - S01E01 - some descriptive text.xxx
......Voyage of Discovery - S01E02 - some descriptive text.xxx
......and so on...
.....Season 02/
......Voyage of Discovery - S02E01 - some descriptive text.xxx
......Voyage of Discovery - S02E02 - some descriptive text.xxx
......and so on...

Plex will initially try to match it, but if it fails, Fix Match (at the Show Level - under the dots) go to Search Options and change the Agent to Personal Media Shows. Plex will no longer try to match this ‘Show’ and you can safely hand edit so it looks like you want it.

Other Video Libraries don’t handle a TV Show layout and for all intents and purposes that’s what you have described and seems like it’ll do what you want.

This ‘Show’ does exist at TVDB:

If it’s the same show - structure and name according to TVDB.
It it’s not the same show - call it something else, and/or change the agent as described earlier and hand edit.

Thank you for the suggestion and tips.

I’ve made the changes that you described and this is a good solution.
