Order videos ONLY by folder

Server Version#: 4.43.4 on ubuntu 18

Hi guys,
i would say to Plex to order my videos by folder. I notice there are some videos merged but this mergeing is about videos in different folders and this is wrong ahah… I dunno what to do :frowning:

And if is possible, i would keep file title and not original (i’m using Plex Movie and The Movie Database as agent) but no way to do that

pleeeeeease help me guys ahah  thanks!

It sounds like you’re trying to mix the movie agents with home/other videos.
Am I correct?

If so,
When creating a “Other Videos” type library section ,
you don’t want PlexMovie or TMDB. You only want LMA (Local Media Assets)

Movies are movies and Videos are videos. Weird things happen , which is what I think you’re seeing, when you cross the with each other.

Do you get strange movie titles for things that’re clearly non-commerical movies?

If I’m not understanding, please add more detail and show some of what’s happening.

What youve written so far is a bit vague / ambiguous.

Nope:

Same library, this is the tree:
ROOT FOLDER
TVSHOWTITLE FOLDER
FOLDER1(season1) - FOLDER2(spin-off)

in FOLDER2 i can see some videos with 2-3 quality merged and wrong title. it must be 1 quality and totally different title. Titles are inherited by FOLDER1 videos and the same the other quality videos. But FOLDER1 and FOLDER2 are not releated to each other, yes is the same tvshow but totally different season

i would split the file and get correct title, i try with PERSONAL MEDIA SHOW agent but nothing changed :frowning:

Don’t even try to add “TV show”-type of content to a “movie” library. It won’t work.
Separate your content into Movies and TV Shows.
Create separate top-level folders, one for movies, one for tv shows.
Create a new library of the type “TV Show” and point it to the top level folder for tv shows.

  1. Look up your show on TheTVDB
  2. Take the title as it is used on TheTVDB.
If there is something in parentheses, take that too.
If the title contains invalid characters (depends on your file system), like § : % *, simply leave them out.
  3. Check the naming and the folder structure of your show.
Name the top folder of the show exactly after the title on TheTVDB.
No abbreviations. No additional subfolders. No aliases.
Add the (year) in parentheses of when episode 1 of season 1 of this show was aired.
  4. Name the episode files according to the above linked naming guide.
Use the same title as for the top folder. Show's Title (year) - s01e01 - additional info.ext (’- additional info’ can be left out)
  5. After you corrected the naming and folder structure, perform the Plex Dance with all files for this show.

Whether the “spin-off” can be added as an additional season to the original tv show, depends wholly on how it is listed on TheTVDB.
If the spin-off is a separate tv show, you will have to adapt your file naming and folder organization accordingly.

Ok, i’ll try with renaming

but i didn’t add movies on tv-show-ttype and vice-versa

is there a way to keep MY title but to have other metadata (such as poster, thumbs, cast, trailer ecc) automatically with Plex?

Thank you!

You wrote above about the “Plex Movie” scanner. That one is not available in a tv show library. So that indicated to me that you added your anime series to a movie library.

Ohhh sorry, the two agents were related to change title discussion, not mergeing
