How to access two Plex servers on the same network?

I have the following two Plex servers on the same network:

Server #1 Version#: 1.41.6.9606 - Synology NAS on 192.168.1.100
Server #2 Version#: 1.41.9.9961 - Mini PC in Ubuntu Docker on 192.168.1.200

When I enter http://192.168.1.200:32400/web, I end up on server #2 (this is correct)

When I enter http://192.168.1.100:32400/web , I also end up on server #2

Anyone any clue what’s going on here?

How can I access my server #1?

You only have one server on your account currently. If you have no I would at least just restart your Synology one. Something may be not letting it contact plex.tv so it cannot verify authentication. If restarting does nothing then you may need to check out the server logs.

Thanks for the reply. Restarting the Synology server didn’t solve the problem. What should I look for in the logs?

Could be lots of things. start by just doing a find or “Error”. You may find lines that have a long URL ending in plex.direct whe it is trying to connect

The easiest way to troubleshoot this issue would be to uninstall Plex on the http://192.168.1.100:32400/web NAS using the first option (keep all data).

Then, when you reinstall Plex on that NAS, make sure you select the option to use your Plex Token. There is a link that will display the Token for you, copy it and then paste it into the installer.

That should install Plex and Claim your server at the same time.

Open Plex/Web using http://192.168.1.100:32400/web.

If the server is not claimed and added to Plex/Web, then open File Station on that NAS and navigate to:
/PlexMediaServer/AppData/Plex Media Server
then right click on the Logs folder and select Compress to Logs.zip.

Copy the .zip file to your PC and then drag that .zip file onto the Reply window here.

Don’t forget that each server has to use different external port numbers and the port forwarding in your router must be set up correctly or the Plex servers won’t know which one is logged in.

That’s true, but only applies to setting up remote access.

Question: When you access server 1, do you see its libraries if you click “More >” in the side panel?

The server at which you access the web app only determines where is loaded from; it doesn’t necessarily mean that its libraries will be shown by default. That’s determined by how you’ve customized the web app.

Check under “More >” to see if you can access its libraries from there. If so, pin them to your side panel.

When accessing server 1, I see my server 2. I see the name of the server 2 when I go to the Settings. Also when I click on More >, I see all server 2 libraries. Thanks for the suggestions.

That very name in the left side bar is a drop-down selector. Click it.

Thank you, this did the trick!

Also got the remote access to work by assigning different external port numbers.

Tried this. There was only one server listed under the triangle.

There should be both servers in there, after both servers are claimed by your own plex user account. i.e. the same account us used to claim both servers.
Freshly after claiming the second server, you might have to reload the web app in your browser in order to see both.
