How to add server

Server Version#: 1.41.3
Player Version#: 4.141.0

Hi,

re-using plex-pass lifetime.

Before i used it on a virtual windows node. But destroyed the VM a while ago.

Now starting to use ZimaOS with a docker version of Plex (1.41.3).

Logged on with the same credentials as before, the online plex-servers kept my shared friend(s). Unfortunately i cannot add the server. The previous server can’t be found either (as it was virtually destroyed).

Any idea how i can start over again?

There’s two options:

  1. you can add a claim-token to the container (example from the official container → GitHub - plexinc/pms-docker: Plex Media Server Docker repo, for all your PMS docker needs.)
  2. connect to the running container locally (from within the container‘s subnet, using the container‘s localhost) — then claim it from Settings > [Server Name] > General

To make things clearer:
When you log on, you are not logging into your server. You are logging on to your plex.tv account.

A newly installed server needs to be connected to your plex.tv user account. This process is called “claiming the server”.
Merely logging in is not claiming the server.
