I have created movie libraries by decade or by year. I’d like to create a playlist that can include all my libraries. So far I can create playlists by library. Is this possible?In the picture attached I’m showing my sample of an old actor’s movies that I have in different Libraries, by decade: 1910, 1920, etc.
These are all ‘smart’ playlists. Smart playlists can only be made from filters in one particular library. You cannot combine items from different libraries into a smart playlist.
You could make a ‘dumb’ playlist and add all items from those smart playlists into it. Playlist
But since it is a dumb playlist now, it won’t update itself automatically if you add more media which fit the original filter criteria.
Great info. Yeah, I noticed the gear on them, and not on another ones I have. So I created the dumb playlist and it worked fine, no smart ones
