Playlist With Songs From Separate Libraries

Server Version#: Plex 1.41.8.9834
Player Version#: PlexAmp v4.12.4

I have two separate audio libraries, one for game/show OSTs and one for “regular” music. I normally make my playlists based on track rating, for instance, songs rated 3.5 stars or higher. Currently, it seems like there isn’t a way to add songs from both libraries to a single playlist.

I know it’s possible to search across libraries and then make a smart playlist from that search, but that only works if searching by track/artist/album name, not any specific metadata like rating, decade, etc. Am I wrong about this?

Is there any way to make a playlist filtering by user rating that will span both libraries?

No, that’s not a thing (not in Plexamp or the web app). You can only manually add individual search result items to a classic playlist (non-smart).

No, smart playlists/collections are always linked to their library.

There’s a feature suggestion to support this, but that hasn’t gained super much attention.

Just left a comment over there, thanks for pointing it out!
