How to Control Folders on Samsung TV

How do I customize the folders I see on my TV? From my Plex server I’ve created neat libraries for both Movies and TV, in an organized structure.

From my Samsung Smart TV, I click:

Source > Plex > Videos (out of an option of Music, Photos, Videos), Click Video (again…another menu with Music, Video, and Photos), then I have a TON of folder catagories: Movies, Recommended, Remote Video, TV shows, Shared Video, etc…

I chose movies.

And again I have a TON of folder catagories: All Movies, By Collection, By Content Rating, By Decade, etc…

I just have two folder structures: Movies and TV shows. That’s all I want to see when I click on Source > Plex from my remote.

Is this a Samsung thing? Or can I control this mess via Plex?

Thanks.

You are reaching the Plex DLNA server. You can’t control that content.

I thought my server was the Plex DLNA server?

Plex technically has 2 server components. The regular Plex Media Server which is accessed using Plex clients. Then there is Plex’s DLNA server, which uses the same content as Plex Media Server but is designed for being accessed by DLNA clients. DLNA clients have their own interface. The list of categories you see is from the client not Plex. The Plex DLNA server just responds and sends it the info it asks for. So we can’t control what it asks for.
