How to debug theTVDB agent's failure to work with Japanese files

I have verified that the show （相棒）exists if you search using 日本語:

http://thetvdb.com/index.php?tab=series&id=188501&lid=25

 

and I have specified the language as 日本語 in the advanced options for the section. The naming is correct, and the scanner is finding the shows correctly, but no metadata is getting added:

How do I figure out what is going wrong? Are there useful logs to look at? Is there anyway to see what the agent is actually looking up?

Look in PMS Plug-in Logs/com.plexapp.agents.thetvdb.log for any suspicious failures.  If you attach that one as well as the Scanner log here I can take a look.

Annoyingly, I don't see any obvious errors. In fact, I see what appears to a successful fetch of the right thing:

I don’t suppose anyone knows what else I should look at? This is clearly broken, but I’m not sure why.

If you upload the logs I asked for, I can take a look.  Hard to say otherwise.

attach the whole log

the 628 bytes seem wrong since i pasted the code and it's 1111 bytes.

you could amend the logs to be able the file loaded in data folder but pasting the full log is the easiest way forward
