I am setting up a plex media server and rasplex in a car. The issue I am running into is that I need the rasplex (client) to start about 20 seconds after power is given to it (via the ignition switch). I’d like to delay startup up the client software but if that is not possible. Is there a way to delay start or have the rasplex keep searching for the server.
details…
-The plex server is running on a raspberry pi3 with media local on the server
-The rasplex is also running on a raspberry pi3
-the two are directly connected via a network cable.
I’m definately interested in this as well, but my usecase is a bit diffirent. When restarting my home video center, my rasplex needs to delay a few seconds, or HDMI initialization from my receiver is not done yet, and it gets a set of really strange resolutions, rednering Rasplex unusable.
If you take the SD card out and put it into your computer, there is a config.txt on there.
edit it in an editor which is able to handle Unix-style line feeds. (on Windows: notepad++ etc.)
