How to enable Enhanced Video Player (Plex Pass and ATV4k)?

I have an apple tv 4k and plex pass. My media server is a windows desktop and can’t seem to get the enhanced video to work.

I think I need to use testflight or something to get the beta player, but it says the beta program is full.

I’m at a loss and super frustrated about something that should be pretty straightforward.

Any help would be appreciated,

You don’t need the beta to use the enhanced player. Just open settings (select your username, then select settings) and navigate down to “Use Enhanced Video Player” and turn it on.

im joining the beta but can not enable the Enhanced Video Player.

I’m having the same issue. There is no option of using the enhanced player in the settings menu. Or is this visible only for Plex Pass members? Thanks

In the latest versions (I don’t recall the exact one) the enhanced player is enabled by default; the option has changed to “Use Old Video Player.”
