How To fast take a Backup of Plex Media Server on raspberry pi 4

could you please tell how you perform a backup of plex media server on linux enviroment?
on raspberry pi 4 i stop plex using sudo systemctl stop plexmediaserver.service and then copy with rsync this entire folder

/var/lib/plexmediaserver/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/

i have a 30 GB Plex Media Server folder, with thousand and thousand of small files… it takes 12 hour to perform a full backup just copying, is there a faster way?

i just want to be sure that i have a backup of all my libraries entries( i didn’t put a single folder in library but each season is a single entry listed in library path → add folder) and i want to be sure i don’t have to remath every season with the correct thetvdb id ( i have a server plex for anime, 2000+ season, with 33252 episode currently)

Is there a faster way?

Maybe you tar zip the folder and then copy it, that might speed things up?

tar cf - . | (cd /dst; tar xvf -)
