An update was available for Plex for Xbox One today when I turned on my Xbox, and the problem has been fixed for me.
The art loads nearly instantly. No sign of this issue for me anymore.
But have you now got problems with the navigation buttons?
Thankfully I’ve never used the top navigation buttons. I can survive while waiting for a fix.
I assume A and B buttons are working for normal navigation?

I did the update while I was at home for lunch. I honestly didn’t use the nav buttons while I was playing with it. I just pulled up several movies that I knew I hadn’t looked at recently to know it wasn’t some cache glitch. Movie background and poster pulls up great.
I’ll take a look to make sure those still behave like I expect. I honestly only ever use them when I’m binge-watching a TV series and use them to move to the next episode. I see that some people are suggusting that they may seem broken because they may be moving to an item you don’t expect due to how the on deck and suggested categories work, but that they are actually working as intended. I’ll have to try and troubleshoot it myself.
I honestly never use those buttons after watching a movie or item from on deck or recently added, etc. I just go back out to the home screen for anything but a TV show binge-watching scenario.

While at home I used my harmony remote, which I use 90% of the time. Lord help us if the A and B buttons on the controller no longer work. That seems like awfully basic functionality.

I’m not sure if they patched something and my XBOX ONE auto-updated it but i noticed this morning i have v1.7.1.0 on my box and i don’t have the slow loading anymore. Keep in mind that i did go back to 0.9.16.6 for PMS.
Anyone know if they got their xbox one version of plex updated recently? I can’t figure out when 1.7.1 came out.
1.7.1 came out this Tuesday.
You can update PMS again to the latest version.
