How to force plex to use your discriptions instead of the ones from the metadata

Hi I was wondering if there is anyway to force plex to use the descriptions in my files then the ones it picks up from the metadata when you tell it to match or scan folders here’s the problem I have aladdin animated series and the 1st episode of season 1 is suppose to be a certain file but instead it’s something totally different according to your metadata I’m pulling my info from wiki and it seems to be in the right order but Plex changes all that is there a way to force it to read my discriptions and files without changing the information? It’s doing this to several different tv shows I have 1 show it can’t even see the 2nd season to a show even know its in the same main folder. In some it even just says episode 1 or 2 and so on even know the discription is right there any help would be thankful

Plex can read embedded metadata from certain file types (e.g. mp4/m4v/mov). You can configure your library to prefer that embedded information. If you’re using the Plex TV Series agent, you should be able to find/edit this option under > Manage Library > Edit...Advanced > Prefer local metadata).

As for your actual issue:
Many shows have different orderings – those can reflect the order episodes aired, were produced or released on DVD (among others). With the Plex TV Series agent you can select which ordering Plex should use – matching the order of your files.

Best start with verifying the right ordering. Plex does not use information from Wikipedia but The Movie Database or TheTVDb – so you can check those out.
Once you identified the correct order, edit the show in question (:pencil2:) and apply the Episode ordering option on the show’s Advanced tab (e.g. The Movie Database, TVDB (Aired), TVDB (DVD) or TVDB (Absolute)).
