I’m using a Sony Xperia z2 tablet to watch content with the plex app from my raspberry pi 2 running pms.
All my files using mkv as container.
This work very well for my own files (bluray and dvd as source).
Video streams a direct played and audio streams are transcoded since the tablet does not support ac3 with the plex player (mx player works).
Since I convert the audio tracks to ac3 the raspberry pi seems to be powerful enough to transcode the audio stream on the fly.
So far so good.
Now I’ve added a new library with a folder where tvheadend stores all recordings (as mkv).
If I play this files the video stream gets transcoded - reason according to plex player is that mpeg2video is not supported.
But I think is.
According to plex the files contain a 2.0 mp3 audio track but I hear nothing when playing with the plex player.
Does anyone know how to enable direct stream for he video sream and get the audio to work.
I can provide more info if necessary.
The used profile seems to be Android.xml
