How to get Libraries and Playlists back after fresh MacOS install?

Server Version#:1.19.3.2793-36efde971
Player Version#: 1.19.3.2793

Had my OS drive crash and so I am starting from scratch on the OS. I assumed the Plex Server info was saved somewhere online? Or within the hard drive where I keep all my video files(which is a different drive than my OS drive)?

Is there anyway to get my library and playlist back to what it was?

Plex doesn’t store your server online… so unless you got a backup from before your server HDD crashed, you’re out of luck.

Edit: this is where Plex stores its data (e.g. the Server database, downloaded metadata/posters, preferences…):

From your post, I gather you have done a clean restore. Installed your MacOS again( Commard + R), is that correct? If so you will need to proceed to installing Plex Media server and login. Yes, start again, unless you have a backup somewhere. If so follow Tom’s instructions above.

This may help speed up correction of Watched/Played manually.

You may also multi - select items by using the Ctrl or Shift key while clicking on items. Ctrl+click allows you to select multiple individual items. Shift+click allows you to select a range of items (Shift+click first and last items, and everything between them will be selected ).

Then in tool bar use Toogle Played.

Well, I just got lucky and found a couple week old version of my OS drive. I plugged it in and it still has all the old Plex Library settings and information such as my posters and playlists. Can you point me in the right direction for a “migrating from one computer to a new computer” or something similar so I can get this set up on the new SSD?

Thank you.

That is correct. Luckily, I just found a backup of my OS drive from a couple weeks ago. Still has all my Plex library information. I’m looking to find the directions on moving from one computer to another basically since I’ll still need to go to my new SSD.

Thank you for the help.
