How to get Qnap TS-453BE to see folder in another NAS (DNS-323)?

Wonder if anybody would know how to do this. I have an old DNS-323 laying around. The plex server on my Windows PC of course can see it. But the Plex Server on my Qnap does not see it.

If this can be done, can anyone give me step by step instructions? I’d like the Plex in my Qnap to be able to pull movies from the DNS-323. Please advise, thank you.

About the best you can hope , given it can be seen by Windows, is to have the TS-453BE mount its shares in a shared folder created solely for the purpose of holding mounts:

e.g.

  1. Shared folder name: DNS-323
  2. In it, create folders for each share you are going to mount.
  3. Have QTS (FileStation) perform the remote SMB mount and make it persistent.

Plex should be able to see the files there via the SMB connection.
