How to install Plex armhf on odroid hc2 running unbuntu 18.04.02

Server Version#:unbunu 18.04.02
Player Version#:

I am about to give up on plex even though I have a lifetime plex pass.

My OMV instalation of plex couldn’t be updated so DVR quit working.

I am not trying to install plex server on my odroid hc2 running ubuntu 18.04.02 but everything I find about installing is for amd64 how can I install on an armhf.

I am a linux new be so that sure doesn’t help.

Thanks for your help.

You really picked the hard way to do this.

  1. OMV isn’t easy
  2. Linux newbie makes it worse.

The only advice I can offer since OMV isn’t supported.

At this point I am willing to try any plex server setup on an odroid hc2 that gets plex running. I am not committed to OMV or Docker.

Any suggestions on a stable reliable (Easy) operating system

thanks.

Your starting point for using Plex on ARM is the following thread, please read it:

Then I suppose just follow the advice of this guy in the OMV forum but replace the amd64 package with the armhf package from plex.tv (select Ubuntu / Debian ARMv7). And btw: you can also use the official Plex package repository. It also contains the armhf packages (and arm64).

Thank you.

That is exactly the information I needed. I am not sure how I missed it when I looked for it but, I did.

Up and running with ubunbtu NO omv and no docker.

Thanks again

take the Armbian image, run “armbian-config” and install from there plex and omv
