I am about to give up on plex even though I have a lifetime plex pass.
My OMV instalation of plex couldn’t be updated so DVR quit working.
I am not trying to install plex server on my odroid hc2 running ubuntu 18.04.02 but everything I find about installing is for amd64 how can I install on an armhf.
I am a linux new be so that sure doesn’t help.

You really picked the hard way to do this.
OMV isn’t easy
Linux newbie makes it worse.
The only advice I can offer since OMV isn’t supported.

1. Create an LXC Container (standard approach, well documented in Proxmox)

Then I suppose just follow the advice of this guy in the OMV forum but replace the amd64 package with the armhf package from plex.tv (select Ubuntu / Debian ARMv7). And btw: you can also use the official Plex package repository. It also contains the armhf packages (and arm64).

take the Armbian image, run “armbian-config” and install from there plex and omv
system
